We arrived in Bocas del Toro after a long travel day.

We arrived in Panama City where I had arranged to have someone meet us and take us to a different airport for our next flight but when we got there no one was waiting. This was the second time this has happened. A gentleman was kind enough to make some phone calls for us to the company and after about a half hour Janet showed up to get us. She was sorry and offered some excuse so to make up for it she decided to take so on a little tour of the city. It was nice but we really just wanted to get something to eat since it has been hours since our breakfast at 5:00 am and it was now 2:00pm. Finally we got there just in time for the flight, so much for lunch.

The plane ride to Bocas del Toro was 55 minutes, we even got some cookies in flight. It was cool flying over all the islands seeing where we would be exploring for the next couple of days.

This time Edward was waiting for us to take us to where we will be staying.
We are staying 3 nights at KoKo Resort on the isle of Colon, just outside of town in a neighborhood known as Saigon.

I had read the reviews and information on the place so had a good idea as to what to expect. The neighborhood surrounding our cabins is where the locals live. Jack and Lee are the owners of KoKo resort plus the Bahia del Sol B & B.

We are staying in a over the water cabin which is lovely. It has everything you need and very roomy. We have a porch with a view, kitchen, sitting area, internet, and AC that we never needed to use.

Sea Horse is the name of our cabin

By dinner time we were very hungry so thought we give El Ultimo Refugio where the food looked fabulous and the music was great.

The problem came after our apps and 2 bottles of wine no dinner. Here they had forgotten to put it in. It had been 2 hours and a large group was next to be served so we left. Very disappointing after hearing so much about the food and loving the atmosphere. Maybe give it another try, we will see.
