Eclyspe de Mar Acqua Lodge isle Bastimentos, Panama #bocasdeltoro

If you ever dreamed about staying in an over the water bungalow, Eclyspe de Mar Acqua lodge in Bocas del Toro is the place to go.

There are 6 beautiful bungalow sitting out over the water with the jungle of Bastimentos right behind them.

The bungalows are really comfortable with wonderful breezes blowing you do not miss AC for a minute.

We enjoyed just slowing down and enjoying some time swimming and sunning on the porch of our bungalow.

There is even a table that you can see the fish swimming under and its open to feed them.

The staff here are very happy friendly people who really make the stay special. We enjoyed spending time talking to a few of the girls and learning about life here in Bastimentos.
The lodge has a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and the food is very good.

Behind the lodge are beautiful hiking trails full of flowers, a pond, birds, and just full of nature. Below are just some of the many things we saw just walking the trails behind Eclyspe de Mar
Red dart Frog- very small

striped rocket Frog - 2cm

Jesus Christ lizard - they walk on water

The trail leads up to a wonderful look out.

If you need to go someplace you just go to the dock and hold up the flag and a water taxi will be there to take you any place you want to go.

There are no roads on the isle of Bastimentos so you go by foot along jungle paths or water taxi.

The town of old Bank is just across the bay where there are a couple of places to eat. The town is very small, one side walk running the length of town and only a couple hundred people living there. We ate one afternoon at Alvins which is on the water and serves up good but simple meals for $7.00.
