Tice's Shoal Bay Bash 2011

A spot we like to go to by boat is Tices Shoal in the Barnegat Bay. It’s a great spot to go hang out with friends and swim.  You can also get to the beach from there. Today we left early for a day on the bay and beach.  When we got there we couldn’t believe how many boats were there already and more coming from every direction. We hang out for a while swimming before we packed up our stuff to head for the beach. That’s always the fun part as you have to float your stuff from your boat to land and then walk across the dunes to the beach.

The beach is Island Beach State Park and one of my favorite beaches to go to.  As we made our way across the bay to land, again we were surprised at how many boats and people were there.  Than we saw what was going on. There in the middle of the bay was a barge with a band on it. A concert on the water. We had heard about it but never been to it. The country station Thunder 106 was having Bay Bash. Everyone was floating around and rockin to the music. It was a blast, hanging out in the water, drinking some beverages, while rockin to the music. There must have been a over a 1000 boats there today.
The pictures always tell the story better.
