What do you love most about Anguilla?

That was the question a women asked me while we were on the ferry from Anguilla to St Martin. We had just stayed 10 wonderful days on the island and chatting with another couple about the island when she asks me "What did you love most about Anguilla. I answered quickly "the beaches".

Ending our trip in luxury at Cap Juluca Resort, Anguilla

Now that we had our flights switched the question became where to spend our last 2 night and would there be availability. When looking at resorts there are few things that are important us. The first is view, traveling where there is water we want to be able to see it from the balcony or patio.

Second is WIFi, in order to travel as much as we do we need to be able to work. Third is location. How close are you to the beach, on it is preferred. The cottage we are staying in now has great views, no beach but it's minutes away.

Just a few more days, Please. #Anguilla

When we travel we have a little saying that the day is in the hands of the travel gods. It keeps us stress free of the many things that are out of our control. Plane delays, travel god, so many things can go wrong but sometimes things just work out in your favor. Today was supposed to be the day we were to depart this paradise but due to more snow in the northeast we made an executive decision to stay just a few more days. It was not hard to make that choice at all. The cottage we are staying has just one more night available so we will be in search of a place for 2 more nights.

The beaches in Anguilla

The beaches here are amazing and there are many of them, 33 I believe we have been here a week and still haven't been to them all. The problem is we get to one and just don't want to leave.

One whole day we spent on Shoal Bay. The white sand beach along with the different color blues of the water, was just stunning. We walked, swam, snorkeled, & napped.

Sunday Funday Anguilla Style

Sunday fun day really does apply here in Anguilla. Many of the restaurants have live entertainment on Sunday afternoons making is hard to pick a place to go when you only have 1 Sunday.

We had yet to go to Sandy Island, so why not start the day there. The first ferry leaves the Sandy ground at 10:00am or island time,10:45am. It's a short ride over to a very small island where you can just relax and snorkel for the day.
