I have fallen in love with #Anguilla

My love for the island of Anguilla growing with each passing day. I have a deep understanding while talking to different people why they keep coming back year after year.
The beaches truly are magnificent the food is incredible, from road side BBQ to 5 star dining the island has it all plus some of the friendliest people I have ever meet. Everyone greets you with a smile & a hello. Folks wave as you go by. They even stop while driving to let you out.
The whole island has a very laid back atmosphere which is what I love.
Our typical day starts with breakfast at our cottage or at a new favorite spot Geraud's Patisserie. Yesterday we tried Flavours for breakfast which has spectacular views of sandy ground.

After that we pick one of the many beaches to take a nice long morning walk, there are so many to choose from it's been a different one each day. Yesterday we walked the length of Rendezvous beach.

We wanted to do a little snorkeling before lunch so we headed to Crocus Bay. It to is a nice beach to stroll along. We rented a kayak and paddled our way over to Little Bay where some of the islands best snorkeling is.

That trip left us hungry & thirsty. We could of ate in Crocus bay but wanted to try Garvey's place, the sunshine shack. We meet him at the Grand house while having lunch the day we arrived. This happy little place right in the middle of Rendezvous Bay.

It was a perfect lunch of BBQ Chicken and ribs along with a few beers. It was a fun way to spend the afternoon.

For sunset we prefer to be on the back porch of the cottage with some wine looking out at Rendezvous bay while the little yellow birds sing to us in the trees surrounding the property.

Choosing a spot for dining is always a hard choice as there are so many great restaurants and so little time to try them all. So far we had a wonderful meal at Barrel stay. Jill's descriptions of the nights specials had our mouths watering. I have never had someone give me the nights special with such passion I had to go with the nights special coconut shrimp & tempura calamari. It tasted was as flavorful as you had described.
We also had dinner at Blancard's Restaurant & Veya, both of which were outstanding.

Last night we ate at E's Oven which was a great fine. Staff couldn't have been friendlier and the food terrific.
What could be a perfect ending to a great day? The answer, dancing the night away at The Pumphouse. Last night was The Musical Brothers a soca band. They play every Thursday for the last 15 years. The Pumphouse is the place to be. It is a mix of locals and tourist all looking for a fun night out and that it was.

I love the island life and I have fallen in love with Anguilla.
