A day trip to St Barths

While staying in St Martin it is very easy to take a day trip to the small island of Saint- Barthelemy or as most of call it St Barths. Its one of those places you always read about where the rich and famous like to hang out why not take a day and explore for ourselves.

 We took the ferry out of Margot which is a great way to see the island of St Martin by sea. We circled the whole island seeing most of the beaches we have visited.

You arrive at the port of Gustavia, St Barths. Its where the marina is along with many shops & restaurants. We rented a car so we could go explore the island on our own.

The island is small 8.1 square miles making it fairly easy to see just about the whole island. We stopped at a few beaches for a swim and enjoy the views.

The most popular beach on the island is St Jean Beach. The hotel Eden Rock divides the beach into 2 separate beaches. On one side has more water sports, bars, and the airport.

The other has the famous Nikki beach where party is always going and many a celebrity is spotted.

A late lunch down at the Marina watching all the super yachts come and go was a great way to end a lovely day in St Barths.
