Colonia beach - Uvita, Costa Rica

We took a ride one day down to Uvita and went to Colonia beach which is part of the National park and cost $6.00 per person to get in. It is worth the price. The beach was just beautiful, sandy bottom, just a couple people, and very good for swimming.

 The beach was so alive.

Any idea what this is below?

Live sand dollars burying  themselves in the surf. I had never seen a sand dollar move before. It was so cool to watch and there were tons of them

It was wonderful being able to watch and capture it on video.

Lots of crabs and snails as well.

I was so busy watching all the stuff on the beach we lost track of the time. The gates to the park close at 4:00pm. We got to our car at 3:58pm and just as we went out the gate the guide closed them behind us. Would have been an interesting night a minute later.
You can over night in the park so they do not check as to who is staying or leaving.
