Beaches of Caribbean coast of Costa Rica - Puerto Viejo

There is beautiful coast line from Limon right on down to the tip of Manzanilo. We came to love the beaches of Puerto Viejo on our last trip and looked forward to spending many days swimming, watching the surfers, and just relaxing on the beach. Costa Rica is all about slowing down and taking in what is right in front of you. That is exactly what we have been doing.

We spent an afternoon having a few cold beers at Reggae nights, a beach bar at Salsa Brava

 watching the surfers.

We spent a day at Manzanilo that was just a 10 as beach days go. The water was crystal clear, calm, with some small waves making it just great to just float the day away.

Cocles beach has it all, surfing, swimming, people watching, surf lessons, and vendors. There is even someone offering beachside massages for $20.00. I am still not sure how I passed on that one. This is the place too if you want to learn to surf.

One of my favorites is Punta Uva. You don't find many people and the jungle is so thick along the beach you just might find some monkey's.
