Marina La Bonita

Yesterday we chartered the Pez La Bonita II for the day, with captain Martin & mate Anselmo.

It was a great way to see the coast line as we went from our resort down to Playa del Carmen.
Along the way we stopped just off the Maroma Beach for some of the best snorkeling we have ever done here in the Riviera Maya. So many different kinds of fish & colors.
At one point it looked like a underwater aquarium.  Anselmo snorkeled with us showing us many things we may have missed on our own.

We then headed to Cozumel for some sight seeing & shopping. We have never been so excited to finally go. The color of the water is a blue I haven't never seen.

It was recommended we rent a scouter to explore the island so that is exactly what we did.

They said the trip around is about an hour &45 minutes. The first hour we basically saw nothing but an endless road & entrances to different hotels.

We reached the half way point which is the tip of the island. The coast line was very beautiful & we were enjoying the scenery until the rain started.

It was just a drizzle at first but my the time we got to the middle road it was like a monsoon with another road that seemed endless. After 45 minutes of pelting rain we were happy to be back in town.
The ride back we fished from Cozumel to the resort. I got the only fish, Mahi Mahi.

It was a wonderful day on the water, thanks to Martin & Anselmo for making it a day to remember.

We took the fish to Canoa restaurant where they grilled it for us for dinner. It's was delicious.
