Gamboa Rainforest Resort

The next part of our trip here in Panama we are staying in the rain forest at Gamboa Rainforest Resort. It's a great location for many activities and only 25 minutes from Panama City.  The resort is on the banks of the Chagres River providing great views from most of the resort.

The late afternoon is a great time to sit by the pool and bird watch. We have seen many already.

The monkey bar is another comfortable place to relax and view the  Chagres River.

Being very close to Soberania National Park Rainforest there is lots of nature here .  On a walk around the resort we heard & spotted some howler monkeys up in the trees.  For me that's a great start to our visit here.
Our room is nice, plenty of space, a balcony for viewing, & everything we need.

They offer a night  Safari, which we did that takes you around the area in search of  animals. We did see some parrots up sleeping in the trees and a few capybara. It's neat to do as you never really know what you may encounter.

Capybara during the day but same ones at night
