Golf Vacations

The Master’s is in full swing with some great pairings set for today.  It got me thinking about all the wonderful places you can go for golf vacations. Whether your dream is to play St. Andrews in Scotland, or a few rounds overlooking the ocean in the Caribbean there is a golf vacations for everyone.

Here are some of my picks for a great golf vacations.

One of the best islands for golf is Bermuda.  This tiny island has nine amazing courses and is ranked on the Top 100 List by Golf Digest.  The best time for a golf vacation in Bermuda is November to March. The weather is a bit cooler no less than 65 degrees, plus the hotel rates are considerably cheaper.  Many of the resorts here offer golf packages.  Bermuda offers golfers a chance to play the year round and enjoy the spectacular scenery of the island at the same time.

Riviera Maya has become a world class golf destination with courses designed by Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman and Robert Trent Jones. It was the host for this year’s PGA Mayakoba golf classic. Many of the resorts offer unlimited golf as part of the package.  Some of the ones to offer this are the Moon Palace and Zoetry Parasio de la Bonita. Other resorts offer a limited number of rounds per person or have golf add on packages.

Sandals offer some of the most challenging golf in the Caribbean on prestigious St. Lucia, Jamaica and Bahamas. Golf is included at all their resorts, no green fees, and you can play as many rounds as you wish. They even provide transportation.

Punta Cana is another spot you may want to think about for a golf vacation. There are 19 amazing golf course here designed by legends Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Robert Trent Jones, Gary Player, Tom Fazio, Pete Dye, P.B. Dye, and Nick faldo. Resorts here offer golf as part of the all inclusive or you can get a golf package add on.  Guest staying at the Paradisus Resort can enjoy a round of golf each day at the world-reowned Cocotal Golf Club designed by Jose Pepe Gancedo.

Cap Cana is considered one of the Dominican Republic's most scenic beaches  There are 3 Jack Nichlaus signature golf course here along with many upscale resorts, restaurants, elegant shops, and one of the largest inland yacht marina in the Caribbean.  The Punta Espada Golf Course has been the site for the PGA Tour’s Champions Tours since 2008, and rated by Golfweek as the #1 course in Mexico and the Caribbean for the second consecutive year.

These are just some of the spots you can go for a golf getaway.  Anyone interested in packing the clubs and hitting the greens I will be happy to provide more information on these spots or other wonderful places to go, along with helping you book your golf vacation.

You can email me Jills@wingsgt.com with any questions you may have.

I hope everyone enjoys watching the Master’s this weekend. I know I will be.
