Last year when they announced that Penn State University
would be playing their first football game in Ireland, I couldn’t think of a
better reason than that to plan a trip around the game. Here we are now in
Ireland with just a few Penn State Fans.
For the first part of the trip we are staying at the
Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel in Killiney which is a lovely location just outside
the city of Dublin.
Surrounding the Hotel is Victoria Park which has lots of
nature trails and spectacular views of Dublin Bay and the surrounding areas.
Even the dogs enjoy the view.
A short walk away is the small town of Dalkey, the walk is short but very hilly.
