Celebrating 50 in Aruba

Eagle Beach

For this beach lovin toes in the sand girl spending by 50th birthday on the beaches in Aruba was perfect.

The morning was spent at Arashi Beach which is at the tip of the island by the light house.

Its a beautiful cove with calm clear water excellent for just floating around or snorkeling. Both of which I did plenty.  The snorkeling was excellent.
I saw the biggest Atlantic Trumpet fish I have ever seen along with some very large French angel fish.

For lunch we went to Matthews beach side restaurant which was very nice. They have a lunchtime happy hour 2 drinks for the price of one. We were all very happy by meals end.

The rest of the day we spent on Eagle beach right in front of the condo. There isn't any snorkeling here but the water is crystal clear and never a crowd. It was like we had the whole beach to ourselves.

George got us some of my favorite champagne for sunset, Veuve Clicquot. The sun gave us a real show to, lots of colors.
For dinner we went to Barefoot, a perfect place for a girl who likes her toes in the sand. This elegant restaurant is set right on the beach and you can where flip flops.  The meal started with a champagne toast from them.  For an appetizer I had Vanilla Skewered Scallops served on caramelized Belgian endives with saffron mayonnaise which was delicious.

Dinner had the duet of Lamb, a rack of lamb and leg of lamb with a red wine, thyme sauce. The meal was wonderful from start to finish and the staff here were great.

What a wonderful way to spend a birthday! Thanks to my family who made the day a special one.
