The beautiy of the Central Valley, Costa Rica

After a wonderful stay at Rio Celeste Hideaway Hotel it was back on the road this time to San Jose.

I have said this many times, driving in Costa Rica is all part of the adventure and this ride was no different. It was a beautiful ride through the central valley, twisting and turning up and down through the clouds.

 Passing many little towns.

The ride took 3 1/2 hours. We dropped the car off at Dollar, 1692 miles we just did. A full circle San Jose, Los Suenos, ferry across to the to Paquera, Manzanillo, Samara, Flamingo, and the northern point in El Jobo, across the central valley, and back in San Jose.

We spent the night in the Courtyard by Marriott by the airport before heading to the Caribbean coast.
We have stayed here before, its a great location close to the airport and with a Walmart right next door to pick up supplies. Just take note Saturday night the night the Tico's shop and the store is crowded with extremely long check out lines.

We are spending the month of February and the first part of March on the Caribbean side.

Our first adventure on the Caribbean side is Tortuguero and then on to Puerto Viejo for the rest of the time. That is where I am currently enjoying chasing howler monkeys around the rainforest, looking in trees for sloths, and lots of beach time.

Pura Vida!!
