Happy Thanksgiving to All

Our first Thanksgiving 1983

Last night we got to talking about all the different places we have been for Thanksgiving. It was fun to try to remember where we were and who we shared dinner with. Unlike most families we have no real traditions we follow at Thanksgiving other than spending it together. For many years the Thanksgiving break meant no school for a week which for us meant travel. It has changed a bit the last couple of years as things like work, girl/boy friends, college, & other obligations keep us at home. No matter where we are for the holiday we still are lucky to spend it together along with our friends & family, for this I am thankful.
I hope everyone's holiday is full with love, laughter, and good times.

Happy Thanksgiving to All.

Here are some of our special thanksgivings over the years.

Thanksgiving with the Cross's in Walnut Creek California 1990

Remember those who are no longer with us

The Outer Banks, NC many a wonderful Thanksgiving there 1997,98,2000
What great memories.

Barbados Thanksgiving with our Canadian friends 2000

I had Pat the hat make us all hats out of palm leaves for the nights dinner. It took him all day to make 17 hats.

The Reefs Restaurant at Almond Beach Village

I taught our Canadian friends the Strut Mister Turkey song which they sang for us during dinner.

Puerto Vallarta Mexico at the Night of the Iguana Restaurant 2002

Turkey is not always part of the meal either.
We went to South Seas Plantation in Captiva, FL
Instead of Turkey we went to Scoops & Slices for the Captiva Castle
16 scoops of Ice cream, 8 sauces, plus 4 toppings. Yes we ate it all.

Fishing in Quepos Costa Rica 2006. George got a Rooster fish which we had for our Thanksgiving dinner. Our hotel Costa Verde cooked it for us in the Anaconda Restaurant.

Tamarindo Costa Rica 2004 Dinner Copacabana. I was thankful that year for a washer in our villa.

The Espenshade's 1987 Oyster stuffing (love those 80's hairdos)

Ocho Rios Jamaica 2010
