Cannon Beach, Oregon

There is plenty to do in Cannon Beach but what I loved most about it was the beach. The beach is I believe 6 miles long with Haystack Rock just about right in the middle.

Haystack Rock rises 235 feet from the edge of the shoreline, and is home the Puffins in the summer months. Tide pools surround the rock where you can find star fish and other interesting creatures.

During our stay we walked the whole beach from one end to the other, finding treasures, and watching the pelican's fly by, very peaceful.

The Village of Cannon Beach is very charming with lots of shops, restaurants, art galleries, and breweries.

We had a wonderful lunch at Sweet Basil.
Stopped in Bill's Tavern for some beers.

Dinner we went to Driftwood, which was excellent.

But one of the best parts of Cannon Beach is the amazing sunsets. Just relaxing with a glass of wine and watching the day come to an end is a very special time.
