El Dorado Maroma

It always amazes me how you can wake up on a cold morning, jump on a plane & have your toes in the sand by lunchtime. We got to El Dorado Maroma by 11:30am, our room was not ready as check in is 3:00pm. No worries, we did a quick change & off to the beach.  I see why Maroma beach is rated one of the best in the world, it's pure white sand beach stretching as far as you can see. The water here is clear, sandy bottom great to swim or just float around.

Located right off the beach is Papitos Gourmet Beach Club which serves both lunch & breakfast. Each day they have a themed lunch menu, today we enjoyed  Spanish Paella while sipping wine & taking in the view of the ocean.

After spending the afternoon beachside it was time to check out the room.  We are all about a room with a view so we picked the honeymoon suite which looked like one of the few room categories that had a true view. Our room is located on the 3rd floor & very large, king bed, living area, & a private terrace with a view of the ocean. They did have a bottle of champagne in the room which was a nice touch but it was warm & no ice ever came so maybe chill it tomorrow.

For dinner we ate in Kiyoko which is their Asian restaurant.  We tried a couple different dishes, tempura California roll, spring roll, shrimp pad Thai, & sweet & sour pork. All very tasty. The show tonight at Ricks Bar is a magic show but we were to tried from the days travel it make it up for that.
