Dublin's Hop on Hop off Bus is a Great way to see the city

A wonderful way to get to know a city is taking a tour.  In many European cities they have the hop on hop off buses, Dublin being one of them. It allows you to sights see at your own pace which is exactly what I like. We got a 2 day pass which was great, hopping on and off at all the different pubs along the way it took us that long to do the whole loop, 23 stops.

Our first stop was just one stop after we got on for a beverage and a bit to eat at the Porterhouse.

Once we had taken care of that we got to see a few more sites on our way to Guinness Storehouse.

Christ Church Cathedral

During the stops you get lots of great information and historical facts of the different sites along the way. The live commentary is very entertaining as well as informative.

The tour takes you Dame Street.

St. Patricks Cathedral

Then our next stop Guinness Storehouse.

Being one of my favorite beers I was really looking forward to this stop.

The tour of the Storehouse is through out several floors, where you learn the history, how it is made, how to pour a perfect pint, and of course the tasting room. We basically went right for the tasting room.

We visited it a few times before

making our way to the gravity bar on the top floor where not only you get a free pint but there are 360 degree views of the city. It is worth the trip.
A perfect pour and even got a shamrock.

A few of the other highlights on the loop are Jamison, the zoo, Kilmainham prison, & Trinity College. Our last stop of the day was Temple Bar to hear some Irish music and of course a pint or 2.

No trip to the temple bar area is complete with a drink at The temple bar.
