The nature surrounding the house is truly just amazing. You just need to take the time to really look closely as to what is around you. Many are very tiny like the black & green dart frog.
They are only 4 cm. and very shy.
The Strawberry dart frog is not as shy but just as small.
We found these at night, not sure what is bug is but it had a very hard shell.

The gaudy leaf frog or better known as the red eyed tree frog. We heard him every night but have yet been able to find one. I will find one. This pic is from the Jaguar rescue.
The gardens around the house bring lots of butterfly's and plenty of spiders.

There really is no reason to venture very far as everything is just right here. All of these photos were taking just steps from the house.
Plus all the birds in the trees
and of course my favorite the howler monkey's. One morning they were all in the trees along the driveway.
There was a large troop with many females carrying their babies on their backs.
Look closely at this picture below, there is a new born attached to her stomach.
They are so interesting to watch.
