Sometimes you pick a lemon but end up getting a Castle

The last stop on our trip was Quepos/ Manuel Antonio, where I had rented a 1 bedroom Condo with a view of the ocean. What is there not to like about that? As always I emailed a few days ahead to find out where to pick up the keys. In the responds a few red lights went off making us start to wonder about the place we were renting. We were told to go to the office to pick up keys and there is plenty of parking there. Which got us thinking about just how far from the unit would we be parking. After lugging all our stuff around for many days we were feeling very tired of moving it once again.
There is a restaurant which is part of the condominium complex which is where we went for lunch while our unit was being cleaned.

All during lunch we were eye level with 2 of the units and watched a women cleaning one. Could this be ours? After being in such fabulous secluded places we would now be on display for a restaurant for the next week. That combined with the construction going on directly behind the unit and the traffic going by (it is next to the road) our peaceful, tranquil rainforest feeling was quickly disappearing.

I tried to stay positive, how bad can it be, we won't be in the until that much, and maybe we should just look first. But George had already made his mind up, he was not staying there. This one was a lemon (at least for us) and we need to find a new place. Your bound to get one sometime.

After lunch we got the keys and yes that was the unit. It was okay, small but we did know that ahead. It as the living on top of everyone that was not doing it for us. Parking was at the restaurant and a bit of a walk to the condo up and down stairs.
Next stop was the real estate office across the street. We walked in asked if they had anyplace open. For when? Now. We were asked if we had 4 wheel drive, which we did.

There was one place open. We took it.

It was down the road from the condo and just perfect other than the fact it was enormous and the driveway was steep.

It was a castle, Casa Castillo. It had 4 floors, 6 bedrooms, 6 1/2 bathrooms, decks, indoor pool, and a outdoor pool and us.
 Here is a tour -
The entrance up to the first floor

The living area with indoor pool

The roof top deck

The master bed room upstairs

The bedroom picked on the main floor.

The sink was so high I needed a step stool.

The kitchen

I was able to get the keys to the laundry, which made me very happy.

The first night was kind of creepy beings the house was so big but loved being part of the jungle again.

 The out door pool.

We had daily visits from the Capuchin Monkeys.

 The peaceful rainforest feeling returned.
