The town of Yachats has some good restaurants and some with interesting stories. The Drift Inn being one of them. We had a wonderful lunch here plus got to read the story of Lester who once owned the inn, along with the continuing story of the inn today. Want to go where the locals go, this is the place, good food, good drinks, friendly people, and good music.
Dinner we ventured into Alder Bistro & Dispensary. We were the only people in the place and the only ones who ever came in. As we were leaving they were turning out the lights. It was a little strange to say the least.
As for the food, it was okay. I had seafood mac & cheese that came out piping hot. It got better as it had a chance to cool and settle.
George had the pot pie which was very dry.
As meals go, not the best but maybe just the wrong time of year or wrong night to be there.
Sunset was awesome.
