Sunday Funday Anguilla Style

Sunday fun day really does apply here in Anguilla. Many of the restaurants have live entertainment on Sunday afternoons making is hard to pick a place to go when you only have 1 Sunday.

 We had yet to go to Sandy Island, so why not start the day there. The first ferry leaves the Sandy ground at 10:00am or island time,10:45am. It's a short ride over to a very small island where you can just relax and snorkel for the day.

 We had the island to ourselves. The problem for us was the winds were blowing pretty good and the current was fairly rough. We snorkeling a little and it was nice, some very big parrot fish.

 By lunchtime we were ready to head back. There is a bar/restaurant on the island but very high priced.

Johnno's Beach Stop

  We got back to the Sandy ground just in time for Sunday Jazz at Johnno's Beach Stop.

Sprocka was playing along with Keria Hughes, a very talented young lady. It was the perfect way to spend the rest of the day. The music, the place, the people were all so wonderful I loved every minute.

  Being here for Super Bowl made Sunday night even better. Many told us Elvis was the place to be but we choose Straw Hat restaurant. It couldn't have been better, expect for the actually game. They set up a screen outside by the beach along with TV's inside, great venue for us.

 The food was excellent & great service. I personally thought the halftime show was the best, loved Bruno Mars & thought the Red Hot Chili Peppers nailed it. They even had a few of us jumping up and down at the restaurant.

Sunday Funday for sure!!
