Ending our trip in luxury at Cap Juluca Resort, Anguilla

Now that we had our flights switched the question became where to spend our last 2 night and would there be availability. When looking at resorts there are few things that are important us. The first is view, traveling where there is water we want to be able to see it from the balcony or patio.

Second is WIFi, in order to travel as much as we do we need to be able to work. Third is location. How close are you to the beach, on it is preferred. The cottage we are staying in now has great views, no beach but it's minutes away.

Last is no elevators. We like small low rise resorts you don't need to use elevators to get to your accommodations.

Outside of that we can make anything work.
Given all that and after seeing the stunning beach where Cap Juluca resort is located. It was our first choice. It had everything we were looking for in a resort and more. It seemed to have just the right mixture of a luxury resort but laid back.

We have been driving around exploring the island for over a week now, why not park the car and pamper ourselves a bit. Lucky for us they had a room.

We were in one of their luxury ocean view suites, with double doors that open up to a large patio, with a private walk right to the beach. Perfect! All their rooms are oceanfront, either 1st or 2nd floor, (no elevators), & very private. The rooms themselves are very comfortable and it was refreshing to sleep in air conditioning.

Walk down your own private path from your room to find one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Over a mile of soft powder white sand & exquisite turquoise water.

Each room has very comfortable beach loungers & umbrella just waiting for you right out front.

For this beach lover what more could I ask for. A cooler of water was delivered and a rift to float on which is exactly what I did.

We spent most of our 2 days there on the beach, relaxing, swimming, walking, floating, and just taking in the beauty that surrounded us. There are all sorts of non motorized water sports you can use as well, kayaks, paddle boards, sailboats, all complimentary.

Lunch is served at Blue, an open air restaurant on the beach. The food was good & the service very friendly. Blue is also where breakfast is served. Fiona took good care of us for both meals. As in all of Anguilla the people are friendly & happy.

Blue

I did do a little pampering while there & got a manicure & pedicure. The spa is, well old in comparison of what resorts have these days but the service was great.

Primm
Dinner we ate at Primm which overlooks Maundays Bay. It was a pretty setting. The meal was very good but I thought a bit pricey in comparison to others places around the island for the same quality of food & service.

Our second night Primm was closed and Blue was open for a beach BBQ party. The tables were set up out in the sand under the stars which made for a nice setting. They had live music as well.

Cap Juluca Resort was a beautiful way to end our trip.  I feel very fortunate to have been able to experience this wonderful island of Anguilla & the people who live here.
