One of the best places to snorkel in St Martin is Pinel Island.To get there you go to the French Cul De Sac and take the ferry over. The ferry is $6.00 and takes 15 minutes.
The island is not very big but a great place to go for the day. You can hike around the island getting beautiful views of St Martin, snorkel, or just float in the crystal clear water. The island has 2 restaurants serving fresh lobster. You pick them right out of the water.
We did it all. Took the snorkel trail, hiked the island, and had delicious lunch.
Unfortunately my under water camera died after the first couple of picture.
Behind the restaurant where they grill we found more iguana's then I have ever seen in one place. Not surprising as you can feed them. We had fun with that for a while as well.
