It’s been a hot one for the last couple of days here in LBI and with no AC in the house cooking is not something you want to do some nights. Last night was one of them. We decided to try the Octopus’s Garden on Rt. 9. We had been there several times when it was in Surf City but haven’t been to the new location on RT 9. It is a BYOB and Thursday nights are Lobster night, sounded like a winner to me.
The restaurant was very nice in side and the menu had a wide range of selections from fish to meat. There were many things that looked good to us but I had to go with the Lobster Special. It was a 1 ½ pound steamed whole Lobster served with choice of New England (which I picked) or Manhattan Clam Chowder, a house salad or Caesar salad, and choice of potato. I put on my lobster bib and enjoyed every bit of my lobster. George had the Australian Baramundi which he said was excellent. The dessert menu looked great as well be we had no room. Next time, this is one we will return to as everything from the atmosphere, food, and service was all very good.

Other nights have specials too; Tuesday is crab & shrimp night.
