Being the nature lover I am it always excites me when I can go in search of something. The Cayman Blue Iguana is the largest native land animal here and is the most endangered iguana on earth. Through the Blue Iguana recovery program more & more are being released back in the wild. At the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park there are 40 now wondering around the park making it a good place to go find one.
The park is 60 acres so finding one may not be as easy as I thought. There are different trails around the park broken up into different types of gardens. My favorite was the floral color garden.
The orchid were not in bloom yet but we did find this guy, some type of snake.
As we were walking around we keep hearing this low buzzing sound. We stopped, listened, and here in the trees above us were thousands of bees. Pretty cool.

On the woodland trail we finally saw the first sign of iguana, two large poops right in the middle of the trail. Sure enough off to the side was the Blue Iguana just hanging out, mission complete.
Awesome! Looks like you were really up close. Beautiful flowers.
